Member Comments Bob & Marianne Hesselberth: The Hesselberths
heard about FCJ quite by accident & joined about 5 years ago only to
find other members they knew. Bob retired in 2000 from Spectracom
Corp. An electronic manufacturing company, which he founded in
1972. Soon after Marianne, a former underwriter for Travelers, joined
the company as bookkeeper. Bob is presently writing a memoir piece
entitled “Two Shakes of a Lamb’s Tail” that describes the start up &
hurdles of running a business. The title signifies how quickly the life of
a business evolves from onset & growth to the retirement of its
founder. Soon to be found on the Internet will be Bob’s blog. The
couple’s interest in jazz continues during the winter months as they
follow groups in the Sarasota, FL, area. They share a mutual hobby of
genealogy. They are parents of three adult children & have five
grandchildren. Bob, an active senior citizen, plays racquetball as
evidenced by his physical fitness. He challenges anyone in FCJ to a
game. Any takers?
FCJS Members In The News
We were happy to extend a warm welcome to two young guests that joined us in July at our
Jazz night. Casen and Callen Lange are both college students; music has been an integral
part of their lives. Grandfather Donald Hunt & wife Marge are members of Flower City
Jazz. Both families are from Wolcott and are fortunate to reside only miles apart. Donald
will be featured in a newsletter soon, as he has a very interesting story to share.
Grandson Casen is attending Cayuga Community college and his major is still undecided.
He is mutitalented with playing the piano, singing and acting. Callen is a student at SUNY
Fredonia College and plays trombone, sings and acts with piano performance his main objective. Music is in the family, as their mom
also plays the trombone. Kudos to her too for homeschooling 6 children.
