Our Single Point Detectors are the ideal tool for high signal-to-noise,
single point fiber optic and free-beam measurements.
At the heart of the Single Point Detector Series is a low-noise reamplifier
circuit with a 24-bit A/D digital converter. The Single Point
Detector can be customized with a range of detectors from Deep UV
to the Far IR (200 nm - 14 um).
These detectors can support cooled detectors as well as synchronization
with external events. Single Point Detectors can receive a trigger
from external sources and also be triggered. The software controls
also support user-programmed digital I/O.
The Ocean Optics Single Point Detectors include software and a software
development kit for users who write their own applications.
Features
- Included software and software development kit
- Several triggering modes supported
- Integrated temperature control for TE cooled detectors
- Low noise amplifier and 24 bit A/D converter
- Integrated dark level offset to increase dynamic range for high-background
measurements
Technical Tip
Accessories for Your Mid-IR Systems
Most Ocean Optics light sources, optical fibers and sampling accessories transmit light from the UV to the Shortwave
NIR – from about 200-2000 nm. For measurements at longer wavelengths, you’ll need accessories constructed with IRresponsive
materials such as sapphire, fluoride, chalcogenide and zinc selenide. Some of your options are listed in the
table below. For additional information, consult an Ocean Optics Applications Scientist.
