• Groundwater is still underexploited
- less then 2% of
our water use is derived from
aquifers.
• Application is limited to areas
where surface water
resources have been
exhausted or unavailable.
• About 60% of the
groundwater exploited is for
domestic, 35% for industrial
and 5% for agricultural uses.
• Ground water may not be
inadequately protected.
