Since 1999, the RehaNova-Cologne Medical Centre has been providing rehabilitative
treatment and care to patients suffering from all forms of neurological and neurosurgical
conditions, particularly those affecting the cranio-cerebral region. Our medical
professionals work in close consultation with Cologne’s Merheim Hospital, and
they collaborate with the surrounding university medical centres. We specialise in
early rehabilitation, and also treat the most severe neurological, neurosurgical and
accident surgery patients at our specialised facility, in conjunction with the hospital’s
emergency services. Highly qualified professionals deliver the finest care to respiratory
and dialysis patients at our intensive care ward (17 beds). We keep an isolation
ward (14 beds) on standby for patients requiring seclusion; those who need restraint
are placed in a protected ward (14 beds) to receive rehabilitative services.
The RehaNova-Cologne Medical Centre houses over 132 inpatient beds divided
among 9 units. They are organised individually: A dedicated interdisciplinary team
of therapists and nurses is assigned to each unit. Our medical centre has a staff of
15 physicians from a variety of disciplines, 100 specially trained therapists and 150
highly qualified nurses and support staff. This decentralized organisational structure
makes each unit easily accessible for patients, and fosters the close personal relationships
that are crucial to optimal individualised patient care.
The Medical Centre can be conveniently accessed via public transit. We also provide
