Cynthia Summers endowment for<br />
youth, Cultural, and Arts Fund<br />
This fund began as a memorial to Cynthia<br />
F. Summers, a teacher at Harmar<br />
School, who was known in the community<br />
for her commitment to young people.<br />
It now supports the work of the Salvation<br />
Army Boys and Girls Club.<br />
telesis Alumni Fund<br />
Established in 2004 to support the charitable<br />
activities of the Telesis leadership<br />
program.<br />
Warren Local Schools Activities Fund<br />
Supports scholarships, special projects<br />
and student activities for the Warren Local<br />
School District.<br />
Warren Local Schools technology<br />
Fund<br />
Established in 2004 to support a wide<br />
range of technology activities for Warren<br />
Local Schools as advised by the donors,<br />
Rodney, Kenna, and Andrew Short.<br />

Established in 2005 to provide a funding<br />
vehicle for the number of activities and<br />
service initiatives that the Young Emerging<br />
Leaders of the Mid-Ohio Valley will be<br />

<strong>Foundation</strong> Fund<br />
Established in 2007 to support a wide<br />
range of charitable activities for promotion<br />
of educational awareness and further<br />
education of students in Washington<br />
County area to foster the desire to pursue<br />
further in the fields of science, engineering<br />
and related disciplines.<br />
FieLD oF inteReSt FunDS<br />
The donor directs the <strong>Foundation</strong> to support<br />
an area of choice; e.g., arts, education,<br />
health or recreation. The <strong>Foundation</strong><br />
awards grants to organizations within the<br />
specified field.<br />
Leola Booth Fund<br />
Turned over to the <strong>Foundation</strong> without<br />
restriction, although the Board of Governors<br />
continues to see that the donor’s<br />
original requests are carried out. These<br />
requests are to provide needy Washington<br />
County children with medical care,<br />
dental care and clothing.<br />
*Jerry and Jennylou Brock Fund for the<br />
Homeless, Hungry, and needy<br />
The Jerry and Jennylou Fund for the<br />
Homeless, Hungry, and Needy was<br />
established in <strong>2010</strong> to provide support for<br />
the homeless, hungry, and needy in the<br />
<strong>Marietta</strong> and Washington County area.<br />
euna Brown Fund to Aid School<br />
Children<br />
Established to provide shoes, clothing,<br />
medical and dental care to high school<br />
children, but not restricted to high school<br />
children.<br />
Bill Curran Alcohol and Drug Abuse<br />
prevention Fund<br />
The Bill Curran Alcohol and Drug Abuse<br />
Prevention Fund was established to provide<br />
resources and support to the <strong>Marietta</strong><br />
and Washington County area for the<br />
prevention of alcohol and drug abuse.<br />
*Friends of Felines Fund<br />
The Friends of Felines Fund was established<br />
in 2011 to support the Spay and<br />
Neuter of cats & kittens in the Washington<br />
County area.<br />
Leroy & Carol Gutberlet <strong>Foundation</strong><br />
Fund<br />
Established to help youth in the area by<br />
providing financial resources for activities<br />
that promote youth development.<br />
*Jason Hollister memorial Fund<br />
The Jason Hollister Memorial Fund was<br />
established in memory of Jason Hollister,<br />
who suffered from Bi-Polar Disorder. The<br />
purpose of the fund is to financially assist<br />
families and individuals dealing with Bi-<br />
Polar Disorder.<br />
*Liberty Ship education Fund<br />
The Liberty Ship Education Fund was<br />
established in <strong>2010</strong> to provide history education<br />
to children in the <strong>Marietta</strong> area.<br />
the Lighting Committee trust<br />
Finances downtown rooftop lighting<br />
projects and related activities.<br />
*michael Littler Fund for Kids<br />
The purpose of the Michael Littler Fund<br />
for Kids is to provide support to financially<br />
needy children attending Harmar School<br />
in <strong>Marietta</strong> or the Harmar <strong>Community</strong><br />
Center.<br />
William e. mcKinney memorial tree<br />
Fund<br />
Established in memory of William E.<br />
MicKinney, former publisher of The <strong>Marietta</strong><br />
Times, to support the planting and<br />
continued care of trees for beautification<br />
of the city.<br />
ohio Showboat Drama Fund<br />
Established in 2007 by former members of<br />
the Board of Directors of the Ohio Showboat<br />
Drama, Inc., to support theater<br />
arts in the Mid-Ohio Valley. The original<br />
contribution was made with residual<br />
funds from the sale of the Becky Thatcher<br />
Sternwheeler to private interests.<br />
Sarah Rebecca Warren Fund<br />
Provides medical assistance for individuals<br />
in financial need who are referred<br />
by a nonprofit agency. Recipients are<br />
uninsured and underinsured residents of<br />
<strong>Marietta</strong> Township or reside within the<br />
<strong>Marietta</strong> city limits.<br />
Washington County Disaster Relief<br />
Fund<br />
The Washington County Disaster Relief<br />
Fund was created to respond more<br />
effectively to community based needs<br />
arising from natural disasters. Through this<br />
fund <strong>Marietta</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong><br />
provides grants to locally based nonprofits<br />
leading disaster relief efforts.<br />
Washington County Fund for Historical<br />
and Cultural events<br />
The Washington County Fund for Historical<br />
and Cultural Events was established<br />
to support various activities in <strong>Marietta</strong><br />
and Washington County.<br />
*Washington County Fund for parks<br />
and Recreation<br />
The Washington County Fund for Parks<br />
and Recreation was created upon the<br />
dissolution of the Incredible <strong>Community</strong><br />
Playground Fund to support various<br />
activities in the <strong>Marietta</strong> and Washington<br />
County area.<br />
AGenCy FunDS<br />
Established by qualified charitable organizations,<br />
these funds generally distribute<br />
income at least annually to advance the<br />
organization’s purpose. Charitable organizations<br />
place endowment funds with<br />
the <strong>Foundation</strong> as a means of protecting<br />
them for the future.<br />
