Morris, husband of F. Isabel Morris.
Coach Hank morus Athletic
Scholarship Fund
Established in October 1998 by interested
community citizens who knew and
worked with Coach Hank Morus to honor
his memory for his years of service as
teacher, coach and athletic director in
the Frontier Local School District.
Warren e. offenberger Scholarship
Fund
Awarded to a Marietta High School senior
who is interested in pursuing a career
in graphic arts and communication.
pete & Laura pannier Scouting
Scholarship Fund
Awarded to a Marietta High School graduate
involved in Scouting (Preferably an
Eagle Scout) who will attend a four-year
accredited college.
edwin V. pugh memorial Scholarship
trust
Awarded to a Marietta High School graduate
who has excelled in history and/or
government.
Greg Schilling memorial Scholarship
Fund
Established in 2010 to honor the life of
Greg Schilling by providing deserving Fort
Frye and Waterford High School graduates
scholarships to achieve a higher
education.
mark C. Studenic memorial
Scholarship Fund
Established by the Rotary Club of Marietta-
Morning in May 2009 for the purpose
of providing annual merit based/need
based scholarships to a Washington
County resident pursuing a post secondary
degree with a minimum expectation
of a two year degree. The applicant
should be pursuing an education in a
technical, math, science, or engineering
field.
Glen B. taylor Scholarship Fund
Established in 2008 to create a scholarship
to aid and encourage further
education beyond High School for Noble
County Graduates.
melissa Ann Weckbacher memorial
Scholarship Fund
Awarded to Fort Frye graduates planning
to enroll in post-secondary education the
fall after graduation and meet criteria
established by the selection committee.
Lisa marie Wesel memorial
Scholarship Fund
Established to provide tuition assistance
for families with a financial need who
have children attending St. Mary’s
School.

Donors place no restrictions on how
these funds are to be used, giving the
Foundation the greatest flexibility in making
grants to address the community’s
most pressing needs. The Foundation
offers competitive grants three times a
year, enabled by generous gifts from the
community. Marietta Community Foundation
includes all general and memorial
contributions in its portfolio of unrestricted
funds.
Bret & Cari Bicoy Family Fund
Bret & Cari Bicoy, with their children
Alyssa, David, Bret Jr., Kekoa, Nalani
and Malia, established the Bret & Cari
Bicoy Family Fund in 2004 to celebrate
the wonderful years they spent living in
Marietta, Ohio.
Broughton-Sugden memorial Fund
Established through a bequest from Carl
L. Broughton in memory of his and his
wife’s parents.
Florence Buchanan and John Hall
mcCoy, Harriett Switzer and edward
Jennings mildren Fund
Established by William E. Mildren, Sr. and
Mary Carolyn Mildren in honor of their
parents to help Marietta Community
Foundation meet the needs of Marietta
and the surrounding area.
Betty markell Hallock memorial Fund
Established by Reed Hallock in memory
of his wife, “Bets”, who supported many
nonprofit organizations while living in
Marietta.
Juhola Family Charitable Fund
Established in 2005 in the names of Elmer,
Helen, Cheryl and Diane Juhola to support
the charitable needs of Marietta,
Ohio.
Barb & Jack moberg Charitable Fund
Established in 2004 to support the charitable
needs of Marietta and Washington
County, Ohio.
tony popp memorial Fund
An unrestricted gift given in memory of
Tony Popp to be used for Marietta Community
Foundation operations.
Charles Hobbs Rhodes & Beulah Lee
Rhodes memorial Fund
Established in 2005 as an unrestricted
fund to support the charitable needs of
both elderly and needy people of the
area.
Karl D. & Anna Schultheis marsch Fund
Established by Susan Marsch in memory
of her parents who were lifelong residents
of Washington County.
J. Francis and Lillian Strecker Smith
Fund
An unrestricted gift given with a strong
directive that the Foundation pay special
attention to the needs of the elderly in
the community, St. Mary’s Catholic Parish
and Marietta College.
ida p. Zimmer memorial Fund
Established in 2005 to support the charitable
needs of Marietta and Washington
County, Ohio.
ADminiStRAtiVe FunDS
Administrative funds provide support for
the ongoing operation of Marietta Community
Foundation. This support permits
the Foundation to charge no administrative
fees to the Funds entrusted to it for
charitable purposes.
Robert e. Kirkbride Board of Governors
endowment Fund
Funds to be used for the purpose of
providing financial resources for Marietta
Community Foundation operations and
to ensure that the Foundation never
needs to assess an administrative fee on
any of its other Funds.
