Awarded to a <strong>Marietta</strong> High School graduate<br />

involved in Scouting (Preferably an<br />

Eagle Scout) who will attend a four-year<br />

accredited college.<br />

Awarded to a <strong>Marietta</strong> High School graduate<br />

who has excelled in history and/or<br />

Greg Schilling memorial Scholarship<br />

Established in <strong>2010</strong> to honor the life of<br />

Greg Schilling by providing deserving Fort<br />

Frye and Waterford High School graduates<br />

scholarships to achieve a higher<br />

Scholarship Fund<br />

Established by the Rotary Club of <strong>Marietta</strong>-<br />

Morning in May 2009 for the purpose<br />

of providing annual merit based/need<br />

based scholarships to a Washington<br />

County resident pursuing a post secondary<br />

degree with a minimum expectation<br />

of a two year degree. The applicant<br />

should be pursuing an education in a<br />

technical, math, science, or engineering<br />

field.<br />

Glen B. taylor Scholarship Fund<br />

Established in 2008 to create a scholarship<br />

to aid and encourage further<br />

education beyond High School for Noble<br />

County Graduates.<br />

Scholarship Fund<br />

Awarded to Fort Frye graduates planning<br />

to enroll in post-secondary education the<br />

fall after graduation and meet criteria<br />

established by the selection committee.<br />

Established to provide tuition assistance<br />

for families with a financial need who<br />

have children attending St. Mary’s<br />

School.<br />

unReStRiCteD FunDS<br />

Donors place no restrictions on how<br />

these funds are to be used, giving the<br />

<strong>Foundation</strong> the greatest flexibility in making<br />

grants to address the community’s<br />

most pressing needs. The <strong>Foundation</strong><br />

offers competitive grants three times a<br />

year, enabled by generous gifts from the<br />

community. <strong>Marietta</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong><br />

includes all general and memorial<br />

contributions in its portfolio of unrestricted<br />

funds.<br />

Bret & Cari Bicoy Family Fund<br />

Bret & Cari Bicoy, with their children<br />

Alyssa, David, Bret Jr., Kekoa, Nalani<br />

and Malia, established the Bret & Cari<br />

Bicoy Family Fund in 2004 to celebrate<br />

the wonderful years they spent living in<br />

<strong>Marietta</strong>, Ohio.<br />

L. Broughton in memory of his and his<br />

Established in 2005 in the names of Elmer,<br />

Helen, Cheryl and Diane Juhola to support<br />

the charitable needs of <strong>Marietta</strong>,<br />

Established in 2004 to support the charitable<br />

needs of <strong>Marietta</strong> and Washington<br />

Established by Susan Marsch in memory<br />

of her parents who were lifelong residents<br />

An unrestricted gift given with a strong<br />

directive that the <strong>Foundation</strong> pay special<br />

attention to the needs of the elderly in<br />

the community, St. Mary’s Catholic Parish<br />

and <strong>Marietta</strong> College.<br />

Established in 2005 to support the charitable<br />

needs of <strong>Marietta</strong> and Washington<br />

County, Ohio.<br />

ADminiStRAtiVe FunDS<br />

Administrative funds provide support for<br />

the ongoing operation of <strong>Marietta</strong> <strong>Community</strong><br />

<strong>Foundation</strong>. This support permits<br />

the <strong>Foundation</strong> to charge no administrative<br />

fees to the Funds entrusted to it for<br />

charitable purposes.<br />

Robert e. Kirkbride Board of Governors<br />

endowment Fund<br />

Funds to be used for the purpose of<br />

providing financial resources for <strong>Marietta</strong><br />

<strong>Community</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> operations and<br />

to ensure that the <strong>Foundation</strong> never<br />

needs to assess an administrative fee on<br />

any of its other Funds.<br />
