Welcome to Broadway in the Park 2012!
Raising the Curtain on our 60th Anniversary Season!
As chair of Broadway in the Park this year, I have had the great privilege
to work with so many talented and dedicated people, all of whom have
contributed immeasurably to the success of this event.
Each year for the past 14 years, Broadway in the Park has raised crucial
unrestricted income to support the mission of Musical Theatre West,
and in particular, our Education and Outreach programs. This event is
the culmination of many months’ activity and countless hours of work
by our committee members, staff members and volunteers. I want to especially
thank the following people for their invaluable help and support:
• My Broadway in the Park Committee: Pat DeRouen, Jan Foster, Marnos
Lelesi, Judi Matsen, John Montgomery, Julie Knabe, Tom Gillespie
and Gigi Fusco Meese, our staff coordinator;
• Jim Choura and everyone on the Choura Events team;
• Our wonderful cast of performers and volunteers, especially the Musical
Theatre West Guild and Footlighters, without whom this event could
never take place.
Finally, I want to thank you for your participation. Without your financial
support, Broadway in the Park would not be a success.
We hope you have a terrific time and encourage you to open your hearts
(and wallets) for this great cause.
Cindy Costello, Chair
