Winter Celebration
Performances
C
hildren from our Early Childhood Center
presented their annual Winter Celebration
performances to families, friends and
Neighborhood House staff on January 27th and
February 3rd. The performances, ‘Snowy Day Dreaming,’
featured each class dancing and singing to a song they
learned in Arts Instruction set to the tune of ‘California
Dreaming’ with reworked lyrics suggesting a snowy
winter walk to school. Each class also presented a song
or poem from their classroom curriculum. The children
wore snowflake costumes and scarves and performed on
a set suggesting a New York City scene with buildings
and other objects that line city streets—traffic lights,
snowmen, a newspaper box—all made by the children.
