• Canal Quarter; Development of Runcorn Old Town fronting the Bridgewater Canal to include a<br />
mix of shops, offices, bars, restaurants and residential accommodation as well as a relocated<br />
library all with direct access from the Expressway.<br />
• Mersey Multi Model Gateway (3MG); A regional, sub-regional and national rail freight facility<br />
capitalising on existing rail and major road links in a site of over 180 Ha with investment in<br />
excess of £80m.<br />
• Castlefields. Total investment of £120m in regeneration of an estate of over 2,400 dwellings<br />
which will in partnership with key stakeholders provide a sustainable environment with a<br />
redeveloped local centre, extensive public realm improvements, and replacement of existing<br />
deck access housing stock. The scheme will also include new private and mixed tenure<br />
properties.<br />
