It is further understood that the State will include only those construction items for the improvements<br />

as requested and required by the Local Government. This is an estimate only; final participation<br />

amounts will be based on actual charges to the Project.<br />

The State and the Local Government shall be responsible for the maintenance <strong>of</strong> the state highway<br />

system after completion <strong>of</strong> the Project in accordance with the Municipal Maintenance Agreement in<br />

effect at the time the maintenance is required.<br />
