You can return these books at the counter <strong>of</strong> the Lehrbuchsammlung during the regular<br />
opening hours or at the lending desk. On request, you can get a Rückgabequittung (return<br />
receipt). Books can also be returned anonymously, i.e. without getting a receipt from Monday<br />
to Friday from 07:00 am to 04:30 pm and on Saturday from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm, by placing<br />
them in the book return container opposite the Lehrbuchsammlung. However, you will be<br />
responsible for your books until they have been checked in.<br />
You are allowed to borrow up to five books at a time but only one copy <strong>of</strong> any single title. If all<br />
the copies <strong>of</strong> a particular work have already been lent, there will still be one which always<br />
remains in the reading room.<br />
<strong>GPE</strong> library<br />
<strong>The</strong> coordination team also <strong>of</strong>fers you a library where you find books you need for the exams<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>GPE</strong>. You can lend the books for 2 weeks and will have to pay a fine <strong>of</strong> 50 cents for each<br />
week when returning them back later. <strong>The</strong> organization <strong>of</strong> the library is integrated in our<br />
information system on our website www.gpe.tu-berlin.de/library.<br />
6.5 Computer Account at <strong>TU</strong>B<br />
For our <strong>GPE</strong> students we <strong>of</strong>fer a special computer pool in the PTZ, room 313 which is open<br />
24 hours a day, also the week-ends. More information will be available on the information day.<br />
<strong>The</strong> computer rooms <strong>of</strong> the Zentraleinrichtung Rechenzentrum (ZRZ, computer center <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>TU</strong>B) are <strong>of</strong>ten overcrowded, but also open to all students after applying for an account and<br />
an email address.<br />
For applying at <strong>TU</strong>B computer pool you will need to<br />
• fill out an application form called Erstantrag auf Zugang zu Arbeitsplatzrechnern der ZRZ<br />
(B-Zulassung) at a computer in the <strong>GPE</strong> pc pool (here you do not need any application<br />
form) and after signing it you can<br />
• bring this documents together with your campus card or <strong>of</strong>ficial letter <strong>of</strong> admission to:<br />
