<strong>July</strong> Championship Competition<br />
Our Official/Associate competition was held on the weekend of the 4th and 5th <strong>July</strong>, and despite<br />
some windy weather on Saturday, ran smoothly with some good results for a number of combinations.<br />
The Championships usually attracts strong numbers, and this year proved to be no exception<br />
with over one hundred entries, to occupy four arenas over the two days. The official elementary<br />
events particularly, providing for large classes with strong results.<br />
Events such as these do not just happen, they take a certain amount of enthusiasm, organisation<br />
and money, not just to get the competition off the ground, but for all the competitors too, to be<br />
able to participate. Some even go as far as combining both roles!! So to all of you who have participated<br />
in one or more capacities, congratulations on your efforts, you are helping to make our<br />
club stronger.<br />
A special vote of thanks must go to our sponsors, who provide a much appreciated financial contribution<br />
to enable us to present trophy rugs to our champions. Please take the time to acknowledge<br />

Upcoming Annual General Meeting<br />
Believe it or not, we’re past the half way point through the year, and that means it’s nearly time<br />
for our AGM. This year our AGM will be held on the second Monday of August, that is, Monday<br />
10th August, at 7.00pm followed immediately by our ordinary monthly meeting. All committee<br />
roles will be declared open at the AGM and nominations will be taken to fill all positions. Please<br />
take the time to consider who you would like to see as your representatives, and especially consider<br />
what you may be able to offer. If you would like further information on any of the roles, you<br />
can contact the current incumbent listed at the top of this page, or contact club President Mary<br />
Moses on 6545 3434. Most importantly, attend the AGM to vote for your new committee.<br />
