BUSH TELEGRAPH

This is my first newsletter for the Bush
Telegraph! Thanks to Marie-Louise Steyn for
being out Lady Captain for the past 2 years.
We wish her a very happy retirement from
Captaincy.
The competitions for March have been well
attended with the following results:-
On the 3rd we had an Individual Stableford,
1st Tracy Fick on 35 points followed closely
by Jenny Aitken on 34 points.
For the 3 Ball Alliance on the 10th, the winners
were Jane Peatfield, Jan Manly, Brenda Elmes
on 75 points.
The 17th was an afternoon competition when
LADIES GOLF
we played our Medal Finals. The Medal Winner
Final was won by Di Beningfield on a Nett 69,
very hard to beat. Marie Louise was next best
on a count out from Jenny Aitken on nett 72.
The Individual Stableford Competition was
won by Brenda Elmes on 31 points.
On the 24th we played a Bonus Bogey, not the
most favourite competition of the ladies but
1st June Allan on +4 2nd Jenny Aitken on +1.
Our Ladies AGM was held on the 31st of
March. The meeting was run very smoothly
and the new committee was elected. These
being Gesi Graham, Annece Winton and
myself. Corinne Botha has stepped down
as Treasurer, thank you Corinne for your
contribution for the past 2 years.
Well done to all the ladies who received the
following prizes for their contribution over the
past year:
Eclectic - Lynda du Toit
Medal Winner - Di Beningfield nett 69,
Debbie van Helt - most improved golf
June Allan - Attendance and Birdies.
This was followed by our afternoon competition
of 3 Ball Alliance, 15 ladies participating, well
done to the winners, Brenda MacNeillie,
Debbie van Helt and Barbara Winterbach on
82 points followed by Marie-Louise, Jill van
der Schyff and Tracy Fick on 80 points.

This was followed by a wonderful evening
of drinks and snacks arranged by the ladies
committee. Thanks must go to the kitchen
staff for providing us with some very tasty
snacks.
