4 Grazer sTadTmuseum (ciTy museum)
The city museum documents the history of Graz from its earliest
times up to the present. The centrepiece of the museum is the
“Museumsapotheke”, a complete interior of a Biedermeier period
pharmacy. Special exhibitions are held regularly in addition to the
permanent collection.

5 volkskundemuseum (folk life museum)
The Folk Life Museum, housed in a former 17 th -century monastery,
has been refurbished with great care using steel and glass. Its exhibits
show how people have lived in this area throughout the centuries.

Another place not to be missed is the Museum of Perception, a real

7 BoTanischer GarTen (BoTanical Garden)
The glasshouses by renowned architect Volker Giencke with their
sloping roofs rise from the ground at the Botanical Garden of Graz
University. They are an important example of the flourishing contemporary
architecture scene in Graz.

8 Grazer kindermuseum frida & fred
(The children’s museum in Graz)
The children’s museum in Graz has created a world entirely dedicated
to children. Under the motto “Hands on – minds on”, Frida & Fred
stages exhibitions with children for children. Beside the exhibitions,
the museum also offers a wide workshop and theatre programme.

9 ÖsTerreichischer skulPTurenPark
(ausTrian sculPTure Park)
Situated in Unterpremstätten south of Graz, the Austrian Sculpture
Park covers 7 green hectares. Over 50 works by Austrian and
international artists are on display.
