The i30 Wagon delivers it. The long 2,700mm wheelbase translates directly into more interior space for passengers and
greater capacity for loads. Supple leather or high quality fabrics, duo tone trim and deep contoured, high positioned seats
designed with orthopaedic input, all work in harmony to give a feeling of deep satisfaction.
Shoulder, leg and headroom are exceptional, adding extra comfort to the airy, high quality ambience. Split folding contoured
rear seats make room for more luggage, or larger household purchases on the flat load floor. With all seats erect there
is still 415 litres of luggage space. With all the rear seats folded this increases to a cavernous 1,395 litres. And, for real
maximum load space, the front passenger seat can also be folded. That all adds up to really intelligent flexible space.

Integrated protection
Uncompromising safety
Just as the i30 hatch and wagon are designed to be the epitome of style, comfort, space, power and economy, they also set
extremely high standards for safety. Passenger safety is essential and Hyundai places huge emphasis on helping drivers
to avoid accidents from happening in the first place. The i30 hatch and wagon are fitted with several remarkable features
that help the driver to maintain control even in critical situations. These include the reassurance of ESP (Electronic Stability
Programme), an advanced safety feature designed to avoid serious accidents and Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD)
that applies optimum pressure to individual brakes in emergency braking situations.
The i30 hatch and wagon’s safety also includes BAS (Brake Assist), a system that will apply maximum force to the brakes
during emergency stopping situations. These braking technologies work in harmony with the vehicles ABS (Anti-skid
Braking System)
Safety is built into every aspect of the i30 hatch and wagon and it begins with a computer designed and physically tested
rigid passenger cell, load distribution paths and impact absorption. This all works in harmony with the SRS dual front, side
and front-to-rear curtain air bags to lessen the effects of a collision. In the unfortunate event of a crash or sudden impact,
front seat belt pretensioners and three point diagonal ELR seatbelts will hold and support all occupants, while load limiters
provide a slow and steady release at a safe steady speed, reducing the chance of torso damage. No detail has been
overlooked to ensure the safety of you and your passengers. The i30 hatch and wagon also contains a separate safety pack
that’s included in every variant. Hopefully you’ll never need it, but it’s nice to know it’s there, just in case.

ESP – Electronic Stability Programme
The i30 hatch and wagon’s ESP system, an advanced
standard safety feature, helps you remain in control of
your vehicle during critical situations to avoid serious
accidents. The ESP system achieves this by comparing
the driver’s intention with the momentary vehicle
behaviour and controls the Antilock Braking (ABS) and
Traction Control Systems (TCS) accordingly, to initiate
the appropriate corrective action by selectively braking
individual wheels and controlling engine power. This
stabilises the vehicle and keeps it on track.
The i30 safety pack
To give you a little more peace of mind, every i30 hatch
and wagon is equipped with their own safety pack – a
fire extinguisher, reflective safety vest and first aid kit.
Safety rating
The Hyundai i30 has been tested and awarded the
highest possible safety rating for adult occupant
protection in a passenger vehicle. 5-Star EURO NCAP
and ANCAP tests illustrate that all passengers can
enjoy peace of mind motoring.

Intelligent power
The i30 hatch and wagon models available offer you a choice of three
engines with an impeccable performance pedigree. While each one
has its own very desirable attributes, all deliver the critical ingredients
of performance, endurance and fuel economy that are the hallmarks of
the i30.
The new generation 1.6 DOHC 16 valve Gamma petrol engine delivers
an impressive 90 kW of power at 6200 rpm and 154 Nm of torque at
4200 rpm. CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) is also featured
ensuring the engine achieves maximum power and torque smoothly
and effortlessly with excellent fuel economy.
1.6 CVVT DOHC 16 valve petrol i30 engine
For those seeking enhanced sporty power performance, the i30 hatch
and wagon models offer a highly responsive 2.0 DOHC 16 valve Beta
petrol engine that achieves an outstanding 105 kW of power at 6000
rpm and torque of 186 Nm at 4600 rpm. The 2.0 petrol also features
CVVT for increased fuel economy while delivering effortless power.
Diesel offers outstanding economy and clean burning properties, and
you’ll find all this and more in the superb i30 hatch and wagon 1.6 litre
turbocharged Common Rail Direct injection (CRDi) diesel engine option.
It provides a very impressive 85 kW of power at 4000 rpm and 255 Nm
of torque at 2000 rpm (hatch) or 1900 ~ 2750 rpm (wagon). This state of
the art diesel complies with stringent EURO IV emission
regulations while delivering superior power, performance and economy.
Gear changing in the i30 hatch and wagon is responsive, smooth and
effortless. An advanced automatic 4-speed transmission provides easy,
efficient and economical shifts. The 5-speed manual transmission
available in the 1.6 diesel hatch and 1.6 petrol hatch and wagon models
(indent order only), will deliver silky, impeccably smooth shifting for
ultimate ‘hands on’ driving control. It also incorporates a European
style ‘pull and shift’ reverse gear.
