We have audited the financial statements of Mauritius Housing Company Ltd on pages 7 to 28 which have been
ANNUAL REPORT 2001 - 2002
prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out on pages 11 and 12.
DIRECTORS’ RESPONSIBILITIES
The directors are responsible for the preparation of financial statements which are in accordance with and comply
with the Mauritius Companies Act 2001 and International Accounting Standards, and which present fairly the
financial position of the Company at 30 June 2002 and of its financial performance, changes in equity and cash flows
for the year then ended. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Company and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
