RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY
In 2006, Heartbeat of Miami, a non-Catholic but faith
based organization began to operate in South Florida.
At the time, Heartbeat of Miami was given permission
to seek and receive financial support from Hialeah area
parishes.
Unfortunately, it has been brought to our attention that
some unacceptable proselytizing is happening at the
two Heartbeat of Miami Centers. While we have raised
our concerns with the organization we have no way to
control or monitor what happens at Heartbeat of Miami.
They report having seen over 13,000 women during
the last four years - yet to our knowledge - during that
time Heartbeat of Miami has not made a single referral
for Catholic service.
To insure that our people are receiving Catholic based
teaching and guidance we ask you to make all referrals
of anyone experiencing a crisis pregnancy to our own
Respect Life Ministry at 954-981-2922. Also, please
direct volunteers (and any donated parish funds) to the
Respect Life Ministry Office.
The Respect Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Miami
offers a comprehensive program of services relating to
the critical Life issues of our time. Through Respect
Life, we offer in five centers: pregnancy care and
counseling, a men’s program for responsible
fatherhood; “earn while you learn” classes for both
mothers and fathers; post abortion healing, educational
presentations for both parishes and schools and
support for public policy initiatives related to Life Issues
advocated by the Catholic Church. Respect Life is also
willing to assist in any education presentations on Life
issues in parishes and schools.

LITURGY OF THE HOURS BOOKLETS ON THE
INTERNET
For the past five years and with the permission of
the USCCB, www.ebreviary.com has offered five
daily Liturgy of the Hours booklets to be printed on a
PC. Many parishes print the booklets on a regular
basis to support their prayer groups.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The Knights of Columbus, through their “Keep Christ
in Christmas” campaign seek to keep us focused on
the “greatest gift.” They have “Keep Christ in
Christmas” banners, magnets, etc. available for
distribution to parishes and schools.

CONFERENCE

South East Pastoral Institute for Hispanics
(SEPI)

information about SEPI’s Summer 2012 Immersion
