Advanced C-Series Separation lets you harvest more per day, even in punishing conditions<br />
Stage 1: Threshing<br />
Crop mat enters through a large cylinder and a<br />
750 mm long concave. With 13 bars, the concave<br />
provides aggressive threshing in tough,<br />
hard-to-thresh crops with minimal grain and straw<br />
damage. The “open web” design allows more grain<br />
to fall through the openings; an open transition to<br />
the beater prevents wrapping and slugging. The<br />
result: smooth feeding in green and diffi cult<br />
conditions including non-cereal crops.<br />
Stage 2: Overshot beater<br />
By using an overshot beater the C -Series combine<br />
is able to maintain straw quality with high output.<br />
The unique overshot beater design allows crop to<br />
progress smoothly from the concave and cylinder<br />
into the twin tine separator. There are no sharp<br />
changes in crop direction thus straw quality is<br />
maintained.<br />
Stage 3: Separation<br />
As the crop mat spirals rearward, it’s vigorously<br />
combed by two counter-rotating tine separators.<br />
These provide a pinch-and release action that<br />
frees grain trapped in the straw and dramatically<br />
reduces grain loss. It also minimizes power<br />
consumption. The side-by-side separator design<br />
provides a wide opening that accepts a large<br />
volume of incoming crop. Because the tine<br />
separators assist in threshing, you can lower the<br />
cylinder speed, widen the concave clearance and<br />
boost your grain quality and performance.<br />
Stage 4: Discharge<br />
Crop material fl ows smoothly and evenly into the<br />
positive discharge beater. Whether you’re<br />
chopping or spreading, no matter how demanding<br />
the harvesting conditions, you can depend on<br />
outstanding performance with virtually no<br />
plugging. High-performance, compact design that<br />
reduces slope sensitivity while delivering perfect<br />
