PACK A PUNCH – EAT A HEALTHY LUNCH
The incidence of obesity in primary school age children is growing. The food eaten
and the fluid consumed, by children in the primary school setting has an affect on
their ability to learn. This coursed aimed to enable to empower school representatives
to facilitate the development of school food policy in their school using a whole
school approach.
Content included:
‣ Principals of nutrition and hydration
‣ Steps to developing food policy
‣ Outline of good practice in a school setting
‣ Students/staff/parents needs
‣ Resource for policy production
Dates: 10 th and 17 th November
