A Fundraising Open Evening: Friday 9 th November 2012
Peter Carter is the last Eel Catcher still making and using the willow eel hives
and griggs.
Do plan on attending our Fundraising Open Evening on Friday 9 th November
2012 when Peter will demonstrate how his traps are made, talk about life in the
fens, punt gunning, willow growing for basket makers…and a whole lot more.
You can look forward to hearing all about Peter’s 500 year family history of eel
catching, willow weaving and net making.
Peter is the Norfolk Indiana Jones .He has met the Queen and appeared on
BBC TV’s Countryfile programme in 2007.He has also featured in many online
articles and given presentations throughout East Anglia to outstanding reviews.
Peter is a most amusing and entertaining speaker.
Please call me early if you plan to join us as tickets are already in great demand
and there are only a limited number of tickets available…once they’re sold-they
are gone!.
