Penny and I wish to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers for her.
Penny has had the surgery to deal with the hernia she has been suffering from
over a long time, but now at last it’s over with. We are looking forward to getting
away for 2 weeks in Devon at the end of this month. We love to go down there
at this time of the year, for me it is the most beautiful time of the year as the
trees and bushes turn their leaves to the Golden shades of brown as autumn
heralds the Dark nights of winter, We then look forward to the green shoots that
come with the dawn of spring bringing the new life to flowers and trees again.
This always draws a picture in my mind of the death and the resurrection of the
Lord Jesus Christ bringing new life to those that chose to follow Him. This picture
helps me to understand what Jesus meant when he said we must be born again.
I think this cycle of life and death followed by new life reflects the seasons of
the year bringing new life to all that wish to make that step of faith.
We will be welcoming the visit of the possible replacements for Pastor Paul and
Jepye and they will spend two weeks here at the start of November to view the
situation, and for us to get to know them. We hope that they are the right ones to
lead us forward.
