Experience A ‘Gurukulam’
In Your City
A new and unique
concept of experiential
learning has been
commenced by three
entrepreneurs, called
‘Anubhavi Gurukulam’
at Teynampet. The
learning centre offers
two main stream oneon-one
courses – ‘The
Language Flu’ program
and ‘The Numeracy
Sense’ program, for
children in the age
group of 6 to 14 years
(Grade 1-8). The
‘Language Flu’ program
focuses on fluency
in communication,
comprehending
information and on
developing different
styles of writing.
The emphasis of the
‘Numeracy sense’
program is to develop
the skill of logical
analysis and problem
solving by manipulating
and interpreting
mathematical
information.
‘Voyage through
themes’ is the
name coined for the
series of exclusive,
theme-driven,
skill development
workshops. A
typical workshop
derives content from
interesting themes like
‘Egyptian Civilization’,
‘Superheroes’,
‘Wind Instruments’
or ‘Soccer clubs’
and uses these to
teach and enhance
important literacy,
numeracy and inquiry
skills. Another feather
in the cap is the ‘Voice
yourself’ program for
adults to hone English
communication skills
through a combination
of games, collaborative
activities, audiovisuals
and personal
experiences.
The learning centre
also offers counseling
services for adults
and children through
their ‘Road to clarity’
program.
The centre is located at
Sakshi, #297, Mount
Road, Teynampet
- 600018. (Next to
Hotel Ananda) For
