George Bernard Shaw called Dubrovnik “The Pearl of the Adriatic” when he visited here<br />

in the 1930s and Dubrovnik is still popular with Irish visitors to this day. With its uniquely<br />

preserved medieval walls, brilliant sunshine, translucent waters and dramatic mountains,<br />

the Dubrovnik Riviera is a unique holiday experience that lives up to its reputation as a<br />

premier destination. We base our holiday in the beautiful seaside town of Cavtat , set in a<br />

picturesque bay and harbour, and only 12 miles from Dubrovnik. Our flights from Belfast<br />

This morning we travel to Belfast Airport for our flight to Dubrovnik. Once in Croatia we make<br />

Once a Greek colony, the inhabitants of Cavtat (Epidaurus) founded Dubrovnik in the 7th<br />

harbour and the tree-lined promenade has many pleasant cafes, restaurants, bars and gift<br />

shops. Close to the airport and Dubrovnik (20km), it is served by a local bus service. Cavtat is<br />

a pleasant mixture of ancient cultures and modern amenities, and continues to be extremely<br />

popular with Irish visitors. Our local rep will be on hand to help you and advise you on all<br />

local attractions and activities.<br />

We have included a half day guided tour of the Old Town in Dubrovnik and a full day<br />

This afternoon we arrive in the beautiful city of Wroclaw, where we will be based for 2 nights. This<br />

A leisurely day in Wroclaw, one of the oldest & most beautiful cities in Poland.<br />

Zakopane, set at the foot of the Tatra Mountains is Poland’s premier holiday resort. Enjoy a stroll<br />

Thurs 19th: Day Trip to Krakow<br />

A full day to Krakow, the former Polish capital and one of the most popular city break destinations<br />

We travel through Holland, crossing into Germany to our overnight hotel near Karlsruhe.<br />

Tues 7th: Karlsruhe – Fieberbrunn, Austria<br />

We travel south, into the Magical Alps, & follow the River Inn into Austria. We arrive at our<br />

hotel, a 12th century castle, now a 4 star hotel overflowing with charm and character.<br />

Wed 8th: Fieberbrunn – Kitzbuhel – St Johann<br />

A leisurely local excursion to Kitzbuhel, a truly charming tyrolean village with pedestrianised<br />

streets, historic buildings, & unlimited stylish shops and cafés. The village lies in the shadow<br />

of the mighty Kitzbuhelerhorn, which stands at almost 6600 feet.<br />

Today we visit the home of “The Sound of Music” and the birthplace of “Mozart”. After a<br />

guided tour of the city you will have time to stroll through the narrow streets, soak up the<br />

Fri 10th: Day Trip on Grossglockner High Alpine Pass<br />

Prepare to be amazed as we travel through the alpine peaks of Grossglockner – Austria’s<br />

highest mountain, reaching 3,798m.<br />

Sat 11th: Day Trip to Swarovski Crystal World and Innsbruck<br />

We visit the amazing Swarovski Crystal factory before continuing to Innsbruck, “Capital” of<br />

the Tyrol, and a traditional host of the winter olympics. Here you can wander through the<br />

pedestrianised town centre and catch a glimpse of the famous ‘Little Golden Roof’.<br />

The beautiful medieval city of York has 2000 years of history in one compact city. We<br />

start with a relaxing tour of the city as we enjoy a boat cruise on the river Ouse. We will<br />

have plenty of time to enjoy this viking city, whether it’s a visit the gothic cathedral,<br />

York Minster, admire the city’s olde-style buildings, or indulge in a spot of shopping.<br />

Thur 2nd: Esholt (Emmerdale) - Free Time in Harrogate<br />

Today we visit the nearby village of Esholt, used for the exterior filming of “Emmerdale”.<br />

The village is no longer used for filming as the crew have now moved to a purpose built<br />

set, but the village is still popular with fans wanting to see the pub formally used as<br />

the Woolpack, and other buildings associated with the series. Today we also enjoy<br />

some free time in Harrogate. Why not treat yourself to one of the famous Turkish Baths,<br />

relax in the Valley Gardens, visit the Victoria Shopping Centre, or enjoy a cuppa in the<br />

We start our day with a visit to the Roman City of Chester., a small city overflowing<br />

Clock, the famous Rows and the City Walls. On our return journey we have some time<br />

in Llandudno, North Wales’ premier seaside town, with it’s traditional promenade and<br />

Victorian pier. For a fantastic view, take a ride on the cable car to the top of the Great<br />

Mon 4th: Caernarfon – Holyhead – Dublin - Letterkenny<br />

We leave Caernarfon and stop at Pringle’s Weavers in the little village with the longest<br />

A day on the Dingle Peninsula is a truly wonderful day. The town of Dingle is a popular<br />

fishing town and is also home of the famous “Fungie” the dolphin. The views of the<br />

Blasket Islands are among the many sights to see as we journey around Slea Head.<br />

Wed 20th: Free Day– or – Optional Trip to Caha Pass & Gougane Barra<br />

Today is a free day in Killarney to relax & absorb the atmosphere in this holiday town.<br />

For anyone who ‘has itchy feet’ and would like to admire more of the surrounding<br />

scenery, there is an optional excursion. We travel over the Caha Pass where we get<br />

a spectacular view of Bantry Bay. We then visit St. Finbar’s Monastery in the idyllic<br />

Today we travel to historic Downpatrick and visit the friendly town of Newcastle,<br />

Today we visit the second place in Ireland associated with the Titanic, the beautiful<br />

town of Cobh, the last port of call for the ill-fated liner, where we have a chance to visit<br />

‘The Queenstown Story’. We enjoy some free time in Cork before checking into our city<br />

The Balmoral Show is held annually in the Kings Hall Showgrounds, Belfast. This year’s show<br />

will offer its usual extravaganza of colour, competition and showmanship along with daily<br />

displays of pedigree horses, ponies, cattle, sheep, poultry, pigs and goats.<br />

Hundreds of trade stands will be spread throughout the showgrounds, offering visitors a<br />

wide range of products from organic foods, holidays and leisure products to agri machinery,<br />

equipment and 4x4 vehicles.<br />

Wed 16th: Letterkenny – Balmoral Show, Belfast – Letterkenny<br />

We depart Letterkenny early morning and arrive at the Kings Hall at approximately 10am for<br />

a full day at the show.This evening we make our way back to Letterkenny.<br />

The Ould Lammas Fair takes place in Ballycastle, Co. Antrim on the last Monday and Tuesday<br />

in August. It’s one of the oldest fairs in Ireland and has been held without interruption for<br />

more than three centuries. Within the town, streets are lined with more than 400 stalls selling<br />

a wide variety of goods, from livestock to painted scrolls. But the busiest trade is always at<br />

the stalls offering the traditional Lammas treats of Yellow Man, a sticky honeycomb toffee;<br />

and Dulse, a reddish sea weed of the variety ‘palmaria palmata’ which has long been eaten<br />

and also used in medicine by the Irish - especially in the north.<br />

This policy provides peace of mind, quality cover, and an excellent<br />

service.<br />

We also offer a money back guarantee - if for any reason you are not<br />

satisfied with your cover, simply return it to us within 14 days, and<br />

provided no claims have been made, your premium will be refunded in<br />

full.<br />

In common with all travel insurance policies, your policy contains certain<br />

restrictions, which relate to your health and others upon whose health<br />

your trip depends. And in common with all travel insurance policies,<br />

you must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions to the insurers.<br />

Depending on the pre-existing conditions an additional premium may be<br />

No Smoking Policy<br />

There is a no smoking policy on board the coach by law.<br />

Punctuality<br />

Throughout the tour, to ensure everyone enjoys his or her holiday, it is your<br />

responsibility to return to the coach at the designated time, which will be<br />

given clearly before disembarkation. We do not accept any responsibility<br />

for any expenses incurred by anyone left behind. Every effort will be made<br />

to ensure this does not happen, but your co-operation will be greatly<br />

appreciated.<br />

All <strong>Tours</strong> are subject to sufficient bookings<br />

This means that there must be enough passengers booked on a tour to<br />

make it viable otherwise the tour may be cancelled. In the unlikely event<br />

that it becomes necessary to cancel a tour for this reason, passengers will<br />

be informed as soon as possible. All monies paid will be refunded or may<br />

be used against another tour.<br />

Changes to Arrangements<br />

We reserve the right to vary any holiday. This includes changes to sailings,<br />

advertised accommodation, venues, or itineraries. This will only happen in<br />

situations beyond our control.<br />

Cancellation by Us:<br />

In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel a tour due to insufficient<br />

bookings, or because of unusual, unforeseeable, and unavoidable<br />

circumstances beyond our control, we will return all monies paid to us by<br />

you in full, which shall be the limit of our liability.<br />

Cancellation by You:<br />

Should you cancel, or intend to cancel your holiday, you should do so in<br />

writing or by telephone as soon as possible. In the event of cancellation or<br />

failure to travel without informing <strong>Mangan</strong> <strong>Tours</strong>, the deposit shall be nonrefundable<br />
