This popular region of Austria is renowned for it’s dramatic peaks, lush alpine pastures, and
countless unspoilt towns and villages. We will visit Salzburg, the city of Mozart and home of
“The Sound of Music”, Innsbruck with the famous “Little Golden Roof”, and the alpine resort
of Kitzbuhel to name but a few.
Sun 5th: Letterkenny – Dublin – Holyhead – Hull
We cross the Irish Sea and travel to Hull to catch our overnight luxury cruise ferry.
Mon 6th: Rotterdam – Karlsruhe, Germany
We travel through Holland, crossing into Germany to our overnight hotel near Karlsruhe.
Tues 7th: Karlsruhe – Fieberbrunn, Austria
We travel south, into the Magical Alps, & follow the River Inn into Austria. We arrive at our
hotel, a 12th century castle, now a 4 star hotel overflowing with charm and character.
Wed 8th: Fieberbrunn – Kitzbuhel – St Johann
A leisurely local excursion to Kitzbuhel, a truly charming tyrolean village with pedestrianised
streets, historic buildings, & unlimited stylish shops and cafés. The village lies in the shadow
of the mighty Kitzbuhelerhorn, which stands at almost 6600 feet.
Thurs 9th: Day Trip to Salzburg
Today we visit the home of “The Sound of Music” and the birthplace of “Mozart”. After a
guided tour of the city you will have time to stroll through the narrow streets, soak up the
culture, or enjoy a spot of shopping.
Fri 10th: Day Trip on Grossglockner High Alpine Pass
Prepare to be amazed as we travel through the alpine peaks of Grossglockner – Austria’s
highest mountain, reaching 3,798m.
Sat 11th: Day Trip to Swarovski Crystal World and Innsbruck
We visit the amazing Swarovski Crystal factory before continuing to Innsbruck, “Capital” of
the Tyrol, and a traditional host of the winter olympics. Here you can wander through the
pedestrianised town centre and catch a glimpse of the famous ‘Little Golden Roof’.
Sun 12th: Fieberbrunn – Boppard, Germany
Today we leave Austria and cross the border back into Germany. Tonight we are based in the
outstanding Bellevue Hotel in the beautiful resort of Boppard on the banks of the Rhine.
Mon 13th: Boppard - Rotterdam
We enjoy a leisurely morning in this beautiful Roman town on the Rhine before travelling
back through Northern Germany to Rotterdam for our overnight sailing to Hull.
Tues 14th: Hull – Cairnryan – Larne - Letterkenny
We make our way home, arriving in Letterkenny at approx. 8:30pm with fond memories, new
friends and stories to tell about the remarkable sights on this truly wonderful tour.
