23rd – 26th November 4 Day Tour<br />
Innsbruck at Christmas time is one of the most romantic and magical destinations in the<br />
entire Alpine region. The town itself is known as the ‘Capital’ of the Tyrol region and is a<br />
traditional host of the winter olympics. The town hosts a selection of markets, ranging<br />
from the beautifully decorated stalls of the Traditional Christmas markets in the Old<br />
Town selling ornaments, handcrafts, and stocking fillers, to the Panoramic Markets on<br />
Hungerburg Hill, reached by funicular railway, providing breathtaking views together<br />
with a wide range of culinary delights and Christmas souvenirs.<br />
Fri 23rd: Letterkenny – Dublin – Munich – Innsbruck, Austria<br />
This morning we travel to Dublin Airport for our early morning flight to Munich. We then<br />
enjoy a beautiful 2 hour drive through the Inn Valley, with spectacular views of the<br />
snow-covered Alps, to our hotel in Innsbruck.<br />
Sat & Sun: Two Free Days to Spend at Leisure in Innsbruck<br />
We have two full days in Innsbruck, full of advent tradition and atmosphere. Perhaps<br />
visit the carved manger in the Old Town with it’s life size figures, admire the Christmas<br />
lights glistening over the town’s most famous sight – the “little golden roof”, or indulge<br />
in some freshly made ‘kiachin’ (piping hot doughnuts laced with sauerkaut) while<br />
warming our hands with a cup of ‘gluhwein’ (mulled wine).<br />
Mon 26th: Innsbruck – Munich - Dublin - Letterkenny<br />
Today we leave this magical Alpine scene and fly back to Dublin airport, where the<br />
coach will meet us and bring us back to Letterkenny. We arrive home with warm<br />
memories and a very special selection of Christmas gifts.<br />
