File Formats File Format Setup The File Format Setup menu lists the final scan formats that require specific file settings. Figure 7: Scan file formats EPSF Format The Encapsulated PostScript Format (EPSF) accommodates both vector and bitmap graphics. It is universally supported by graphics, illustration and pagelayout programs. This format is used primarily to transfer PostScript language artwork between different applications. EPSF supports Lab, CMYK, RGB, indexcolor, duotone, grayscale and bitmap color modes. It does not support alpha channels or clipping paths. EPSF files that contain vector graphics created with applications other than Photoshop ® , are rasterized by Photoshop, and the vector graphics are converted to pixels. EPSF Setup To perform EPSF setup, do the following: ‣ From the Setup menu, choose EPSF Setup. The EPSF Settings dialog box is displayed. 20 oXYgen Scanning Application - User Guide Addendum
