Key Recommendations for the Programme

Improved coordination and collaboration between community disaster organizations
and other research/data partners including climate change entities for undertaking
comprehensive disaster management
Output 1‐ Strategy to improve policy coordination and harmonisation on climate
change adaptation is developed and the region’s ability to effectively mobilise and
utilise financial resources through international financial mechanisms is
strengthened
Output 2‐ A regional programme and plan of action for integration of climate
change in the disaster risk reduction programme is developed and implemented
Output 3‐ An information sharing network is established for integrating climate
change and disaster risk management is established and is functional
Suggested Activity
• Establishing information sharing mechanisms containing generic information on climate change which can
be easily understood by sectors to ensure that the information can then been disseminated.
• Arrange a meeting or workshop for the scientific research entities such as CIMH and CCCCC to present
information to the National Disaster Offices, sectors and other community based organisations.
