HELP IS NEEDED IN THE SCHOOL CAFETERIA.
In order to serve a lunch to each child, we need 5 people PER
DAY to volunteer to serve lunches, which equates to 900 possible
openings where you can help. There is room for everyone! Serving
lunch is easy, fun and doesn’t take much time!
You can volunteer as much or as little as you would like and every
little bit helps. The schedule is flexible and you can choose to
volunteer weekly, monthly, or occasionally. We are also in need of
substitute volunteers who can fill in at a moment’s notice.
The obligation to serve lunch is only from 10:35 a.m. to Noon.

Come and learn how to ring
handbells in one hour on
Wednesday, September 11, from
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Church!
Adults and high school youth are

will include a brief history of how
handbells were developed,
followed by hands-on session of how to ring the bells. However,
your participation does not commit you to ringing in the handbell

SATURDAY CHOIR
FROM THE
ORGAN BENCH
For those who regularly attend the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturdays,
we are hoping to get a new choir started that will lead us in our
sung prayer at this Mass, two Saturdays per month. The only
rehearsals will be an hour before Mass at 4:00 p.m. on the
Saturdays we sing. The first rehearsal and Mass will be Saturday,
September 21. All men and women and high school youth are

PARISH CHILDREN’S CHOIR BEGINS
Our Parish Children’s Choir will begin the new season on
Wednesday, September 11, from 3:10 p.m.—4:00 p.m. in the
Church. The Parish Children’s Choir meets most Wednesdays
from September through April and sings for a weekend Mass
usually once per month as well as on Christmas Eve.
Children in the 2nd through 6th grades who are home schooled,
from St. Charles School, and from other schools are welcome.

Schedule Reminder: As our nation celebrates Labor Day this
weekend, there are NO SCRIP SALES. If you have an order, feel
free to drop it in the collection basket, it will be filled on Tuesday
and available after 2:00 p.m.
• With no school on Monday, school orders will be collected and
filled on Tuesday.
Now that school is in session, Friday morning sales are from 8:00
a.m.-9:00 a.m. in the Hession Center. If there is no school on a
Friday, sales take place on Thursday. Please watch the bulletin for
schedule changes.

Bishop Dwenger High School is offering an
ACT/SAT prep course on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Classes
will begin on Tuesday, September 17 thru
Thursday, October 31. The Tuesday sessions will focus on critical
reading, writing, and grammar while the Thursday sessions will
address math and science. The class fee is $195.00 and includes
both an ACT text and SAT text for the course. The class is open
