As they have done for many years, the members of the Chaminade Marching Band again led Mineola’s Memorial Day Parade. Chaminade is also one of many sponsors of the Village of Mineola’s centennial celebration, as can be seen on the banner at left (designed by Peter Palamara ’94 RIP). New Features to an Old Tradition
At CAPA’s annual Cocktail Party on June 24, 2006, assistant moderator Bro. James Conway ’76 (center) presented a special plaque to John and Pat Ford (left) as they retired from the CAPA board after a tenure of ten years. At right are CAPA presidents Michelle and Mike Salogub. In That Wonderful World of Disney... It was truly an opportunity for class bonding as 373 of the 390 members of the Class of 2006 took part in the senior trip to Disney from March 30 to April 2, 2006. Special features this year included the reserving of the Rockin’ Rollercoaster and the Tower of Terror on the first evening after MGM park closed to the public. On the following morning there was a special presentation and ride on the new Expedition Everest rollercoaster prior to its official opening. Several alumni and wives attended Mass witht the group on Saturday evening; below right are (l.-r.) Bro. Joseph ’78, Rachel and Bill Hackford ’92 (Alumni SW Florida Chapter president), Debby and Gerry Hempstead ’68, Greg Posso ’88, and Fr. James ’87. The Union League Club on Park Ave. provided a beautiful setting for the Alumni Association’s New York City Cocktail Party on April 4, 2006. Fr.
