California was keeping track of this information separately early on in the investigation. It is interesting to revisit now that the number of case-patients has increased. Although the lower numbers will be heavily influenced by the denominator, we may be able to divide these into atleast two categories based on % hospitalizations. (note: qualifying criteria could be something like we should have atleast 10 total illnesses to be counted in the categories) 1) 35% and below – 122, 258, 326 2) 35% and above – 22, 41, 45, 122, 672 (just 2 cases – does not qualify)) The next part will be to see if PFGEs in these categories have any commonality/similarity etc. If not all, atleast hose at the extreme ends of hospitalization.. Also, in your table, do if we add the columns for demographics (age, sensitive population etc.. if available, would that be useful to see..!)
