Page 10 Energy Healing Energy healing is a term used to identify alternative therapies that address our natural mind/body/spirit energy. Relaxing and non-invasive, energy healing relieves stress and anxiety and promotes the body’s ability to heal itself. Therapies include healing touch, reiki, and therapeutic touch. Arbor Acres offers two energy healing options: • Private appointments allow for a more personalized and extensive treatment and are held Monday and Wednesday, 2 to 4 pm, in Asbury Place and Fitzgerald Health Center SPAS. Each 40-minute session is $20.00 and is conducted by Patricia Suggs, certified Healing Touch Practitioner. Call Davana, ext. 1904, to schedule an appointment. • The Healing Clinic offers energy healing sessions from trained volunteers and is held on Monday evenings, 5:30 - 8:45 pm, in the Gathering Place. Each appointment is 45 minutes. There is no charge but please sign up behind the tab marked “Healing Touch.” Volunteer at Fitzgerald Health Center The Fitzgerald Health Center needs volunteers to bring residents in wheelchairs to and from afternoon and/or evening activities in Fellowship Hall and other locations on campus, such as lunch in the Arbor Room.
