Drinking Water: it quenches our thirst; it hydrates our
body; and, in this case--brings music to our ears!

It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas,
and we here at Cannabis Lifestyle Magazine
have the pleasure of spending it at Rosie’s Placethe
home, practice space and sometimes concert
venue for the band Drinking Water.
Who is Drinking Water?
In its present incarnation, DW consists of three
musicians and best friends: Henry -lead singer
and guitarist, David (aka Bilo) on drums and
the newest member, rockin’ female bassist
Anais.
The formation of Drinking Water began with
the shared dream of two 15 year old kids who
just wanted to play music. Bilo and Henry, both
originally from Yuma, Arizona, quickly bonded over
their joint interest in music and discovering the
power of plant medicine.
In 2008, in between working, hiking, exploring
nature, and sleeping (sometimes in their car)—
the guys decided to start a band: and needed to
come up with a name. As dudes of few possessions,
one of the only items that came with them
everywhere was a generic gallon jug which literally
had the words “Drinking Water” spelled out
on the label. One day, (while medicating) the jug’s
label took on a whole new meaning and the name
search was over. Bilo says, “It [the name] just kind
of stuck.” Henry adds, “It ‘fit’ and seemed ‘catchy’
so we went with it… [the words] ‘Drinking water’
goes tight and deep to our souls.”
As for DW’s start in the music business, Henry
says, “I feel like we really began in 2011 when we
