...a special home for 14 years...
14 years ago, parents and their children packed a favorite lunch box, a few
snacks, and, in some cases, a small toy or book that left a comforting feeling
of familiarity. The sweaty little hands gripped their parents’ as they tugged
open the doors of the school building that would later become their second
home. Mothers and fathers left with everyone else, but then tiptoed back a
moment later and lurked briefly in the doorway, unaware of the friendships
and memories that would be forged within the school walls.
Every year, we witness the eager, confident teachers and the anxious, hopeful
pupils who begin their first step full of promise – an overwhelming experience
altogether. Our teary-eyed kindergarteners went through an intense journey of
change, self-discovery and development. Together, we witnessed their transition
from hesitant and confused children to fine young men and women each with
tremendous confidence and integrity. Now standing tall and fine before us, we
can only think of the good memories that were created; a first dance or song on
Mothers’ Day, triumph during a sports challenge, endless hours cramming for
exams, performances during drama productions or talent shows...Their endless
energy and fervour shone in any challenge that came their way, whether big or
small, academic or fun...They embody the power of kindness, love and respect
Girls K-12, Al Garhoud in the classroom and outside, with friends and
teachers alike.
Our esteemed graduates, the long-awaited
milestone finally arrived.
You have now become independent thinkers
and lifelong learners. You embody all that we
strive to achieve in our mission to pursue
academic excellence. You are our accomplishments,
our rewards and our pride.
You are about to embark on a more enticing
journey, but rest assured that we will always
be one step behind as a reminder of all the
values learned, the knowledge discovered
and the potential you possess.
