The <strong>Waverley</strong> <strong>College</strong> Higher School Certificate cl<strong>as</strong>s of 2010 h<strong>as</strong><br />

achieved excellent results across arange of subjects.<br />

I congratulate the Year 12 students of 2010, <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> their<br />

families and teachers,on these very good results.<br />

School Certificate 2010<br />

<strong>Waverley</strong> <strong>College</strong> h<strong>as</strong> achieved School Certificate results above<br />

the state average in all six examinations.<br />

Highlights of the School Certificate Results<br />

96% of students received Band 4 or above in the English<br />

Literacy Examination.<br />

92% of students received Band 4 or above in the Science<br />

examination.<br />

81% of students received Band 4 or above in the Australian<br />

Geography, Civics and Citizenship examination compared with<br />

59% across the state.<br />

In the Computer Skills Examination 71% of students scored<br />

Highly Competent, compared to 55% across the state.<br />

From these results we look forward with confidence that<br />

students have established a firm foundation for their studies <strong>as</strong><br />

they begin the final two years of their secondary education.<br />
