warning signs
There are several warning
signs that may indicate someone
is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s
Disease.
• Memory loss that is bad
enough to interfere with daily living
and that gets progressively
worse. Forgetting where the car
keys are is normal; forgetting how
to use them is not.
• Getting lost in familiar places.
Alzheimer’s patients can suddenly
forget how to get home from a familiar
place.
• Problems with language, such
as a consistent inability to remember
words or using words inappropriately
in conversation.
• Feeling overwhelmed and
making multiple errors when trying
to perform routine tasks like
reading or balancing a checkbook.
• Personality changes such as
mood swings and unexplained
agitation. This can be a sign of
depression or another health problem
but, combined with any other
symptoms, it could be an early
sign of Alzheimer’s.
