6. Walls of <strong>the</strong> Museum Room fe<strong>at</strong>ure many muskets one made in Bridesberg 1862<br />
from <strong>the</strong> Frankford Arsenal.<br />
7. To <strong>the</strong> left of <strong>the</strong> door as one enters <strong>the</strong> Museum Room are 2 cases with CW<br />
uniforms and o<strong>the</strong>r items. 3 full uniforms, 1 service co<strong>at</strong>, 1 outer co<strong>at</strong>, 1<br />
jacket/blouse for enlisted man, several h<strong>at</strong>s and belts. Also Guidon for 1822<br />
Artillery Corps Washington Grays with bullet hole. Remnants of <strong>the</strong> flag of <strong>the</strong><br />
Fire Zouvaes from Gettysburg, framed pieces of <strong>the</strong> banner from Company I Gray<br />
Reserves for City Defence.<br />
8. In <strong>the</strong> hallway o<strong>the</strong>r side of entrance area is a large case with 2 mannequins in<br />
CW uniforms with one big drum and 2 muskets.<br />
9. Case in entrance hall on right fe<strong>at</strong>uring CW has Col. Benson’s spurs used during<br />
<strong>the</strong> <strong>War</strong> and 1866 GAR reunion medal (legacy).<br />
Documentary<br />
1. On <strong>the</strong> walls of <strong>the</strong> Museum Room are several recruiting posters and o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
paper items. Recruiting poster for <strong>the</strong> Corn Exchange Regiment; Recruiting<br />
Poster for 11 th PA Greys Reserves Col. Ellmaker; Small recruiting poster “To<br />
Arms for <strong>the</strong> Right Company A Gray Reserves” and Office of <strong>the</strong> Provost<br />
Marshall Guard and P<strong>at</strong>rol Pass may 4 1865. There may be one o<strong>the</strong>r recruiting<br />
poster.<br />
2. Although home front <strong>the</strong>med—<strong>the</strong>re are 2 prints on <strong>the</strong> walls, a faded standard<br />
Union Volunteer Refreshment Saloon one, and a less common and in better condition for<br />
<strong>the</strong> Volunteer Refreshment Saloon on lower right has a good image of women nursing<br />
soldiers.
