YMCA Camp Platte (5-15 years)YMCA Camp Platte is held at Platte River State Park, and runs for 6 oneweeksessions. You may choose to attend day camp for one week or anycombination of weeks.Outdoor Partners* (5-7 years): Campers usethe great outdoors as their playground. Thiscamp is designed for the first-time camper. Kidsmake new friends, learn new games and participatein camp basics such as capture the flagand campfire songs. This will be a great initialtaste to camp. Swimming and hiking will also beincluded daily.Member: $155 Non member: $195Nature Buddies* (5-7 years): Kids learn aboutthe world around them through games, art andactivities focusing on friendships and MotherNature. Campers grow through our core valuesof caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.Member: $155 Non member: $195Riders (8-12 years): For children who havelimited or no riding experience but a love ofhorses. Campers ride horses four times eachweek and start learning the basics, such ashorse care and horsemanship. Riders also participatein typical camp activities such as hiking,swimming, arts, crafts and games.Member: $190 Non member: $230Wilderness Pals (8-12 years): Children explorethe unknown wilderness by hiking, learningabout animals, and developing outdoor survivalskills. Campers challenge themselves by gainingan understanding of teamwork, build mutualtrust and increase self esteem. They alsoparticipate in typical camp activities such ashorseback riding, hiking, swimming, arts, craftsand games.Member: $155 Non member: $196Outdoor Gamers (8-12 years): No electricityrequired! Children utilize the natural environmentto discover the outdoor world of gaming.Your camper will be introduced to gamessuch as Medic, Jousting, Capture the Flag andparticipate in old favorites such as dodge ball,tug-o-war and scavenger hunts. Gamers alsoparticipate in typical camp activities such ashorseback riding, hiking, swimming, arts, craftsand games.Member: $155 Non member: $196NEW!Trotters (12-15 years): For children who havelimited riding experience and a love of horses.Campers ride horses four times each week andstart learning the basics, such as horse careand horsemanship. Trotters also participate intypical camp activities such as hiking, swimming,arts, crafts and games.Member: $190 Non member: $230Transportation will be from the Southwestand Sarpy YMCA locations. Buses will leavefrom each location at 7:45 a.m. and departCamp Platte at 4:00 p.m. returning children toeach YMCA location by 4:30 p.m.All registrations must be made with a $50non-refundable deposit that will be appliedtowards the camp fee. Session changes mustbe requested in writing.
