The 2820A models have a single earphonevolume control for diver's volume (down-link) and a single volume control for thetender (up-link).This hard-wire 2 diver communicator has push-to talk and separate isolatedinputs for each diver. It is a portable system delivering 20 watts "voice power";operating from internal batteries or external 12 VDC power source. Models withthe /24 option can be operated from either a 110/220 VAC , external 12 VDSpower source or an internal 12 VDC battery. This radio has the capability of2-wire and/or Simulcom (4-wire) communication modes. 2-Wire and Simulcom(4-wire) modes can be used simultaneiously. This portable diving radio has theability to work with both dynamic and pre-amplified microphones in either 2-wireor 4-wire modes. The circuit detects the type of microphone that each diver isusing then automatically switches from the preamp mode to dynamic mode,adjusting the specific diver's gain (volume). The tender's volume is set louderthan the diver's volume.
