This delineatesthe roles and responsibilities of LHL andthe operating companies in managingand monitoring safety across the Group’soperations. The framework has the inputand full commitment of the LHL Boardand the senior management team of LHL.Leighton Contractors is required todevelop and manage its own specificstandards and processes (consistent withthe LHL Safety Structure and LHL SafetyStandards and compliant with legislativerequirements) under the direction andsupervision of the LCPL Board andExecutive Leadership Team (ELT).Ultimate accountability for managingsafety and health at Leighton Contractorsrests with the Managing Director.Leighton Contractors has established asupporting structure designed to ensureour safety and health obligations arerealised and our strategic approachremains consistent and appropriate tothe business.The company’s senior safety and healthgovernance body is the LCPL Safety andHealth Board Committee, which reportsto the LCPL Board. This committee ismade up of two Board representatives,one of which is the Chairman. Othermembers include the Managing Director,operational ELT members and theGeneral Manager, Safety and Health (SH).Our Group strategic approach andstandards are overseen and monitoredby the ELT who meet on a monthlybasis to review strategy, ensureresources are provided and overseeaction performance.The ELT has established a set of values,of which safety and health above all elseis paramount.
