From the beginning of march the trip to the middle kingdom will follow the same route as taken by stage 19 at the end of November 2008, but in the opposite direction. It is however set to be no less exciting: Dense jungle awaits the participants in Thailand, who also have to cross the mekong in Laos. This city, whose name means "rule the east", is home to the russian pacific Fleet and was closed to outsiders until 1991. The XWOrLD Tour will take an exciting route through Inner mongolia to reach the city that is sometimes also known as russia's "Liverpool of music". Here's a tip for anyone who wants to extend their adventure-packed holiday: Don't fly home but take the Trans-siberian railway.
