FARMERS SHOULD ADOPT LATEST TECHNOLOGYUPCAR, Director General, Dr. Chandrika Prasad visitedAAI-DU to review the ongoing research activities beingcarried out at the University under the guidance of Hon’bleVice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra B. Lal and had ameeting with the officials o fthe university. He emphasizedon improvement of agricultural equipments, organic farming,water harvesting and animal husbandry. Dr. Prasad alsoaddressed the farmers and emphasized that they shouldtake full advantage of the latest technology being developedin wheat cultivation by the university and take the adviceof the scientist to reap a bumper harvest of wheat.Dr. Prasad also visited the site where the university scientisthad explored technology of storing wheat and potato usingSwami Parmanand Homoeopathic medicine and urged thefarmers to take full advantage of this technology. DirectorResearch, Dr. S. B. Lal said that the research work inwheat cultivation being carried out at the university is inconsideration with the agroclimatic conditions prevailing inUttranchal as well. Dr. Mahabalram said that around 3500varieties of wheat from other parts of the country andaround the globe have been brought for trials which includes450 varieties from International Wheat Research StationMaxico. Dr. S. S. Singh, Dr. B. B. Rai, Dr. Sobita Simon,Dr. G.M. Prasad, Dr. M.D. Imtiyaz, Dr. Nahar Singh,Dr. Rathore, Dr. Ashish Topno, Mr. Rajendra Kumar werealso present on this occasion.35
