ABOUT THE<strong>LEGAL</strong> <strong>SERVICES</strong> <strong>COMMISSIONER</strong>The Legal Services Commissioner (LSC) is responsible for the receipt andhandling of complaints about lawyers in Victoria.The LSC was established on 12 December 2005 by the Legal Profession Act 2004 (the Act).Michael McGarvie is the Commissioner. Michael is also the Chief Executive Officer of the LegalServices Board (LSB). The LSC is an independent statutory authority accountable to the VictorianParliament. The Attorney-General, The Hon.
