14 <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Service</strong> <strong>Employment</strong> <strong>Program</strong> (SCSEP) Handbook‣ Know about the work-training site, its policies, people and programs, as well as what isexpected of you;‣ Have a Training Assignment Description (TAD) that accurately reflects the tasks andresponsibilities of your work-training;‣ Participate in updating the IEP periodically with your Project Director to address newlyidentified needs or barriers to employment and resources to assist you in overcomingthem;‣ Obtain timely and effective skills training that is appropriate for your plan and willsupport your ability to assume additional responsibilities at your work-training site, aswell as securing unsubsidized employment;‣ Have a safe, orderly and designated place at the work-training site that is conducive toperformance and learning;‣ Have patient, respectful, thoughtful, and motivating guidance from an informedsupervisor;‣ Have diverse learning experiences that will lead to increased capability to findunsubsidized employment. (This may require transfer to one or more work-trainingassignments and will be documented in your IEP.)SCSEP <strong>Program</strong> Detail and PoliciesThings you must know about SCSEP and your benefits and responsibilities!Acceptance of GiftsParticipants and members of their immediate families are prohibited from accepting gifts,favors, loans, free services, or other items of value, including money, intended to reward orinfluence official actions, from a client or employee of any agency which funds or has anAgreement with <strong>Mature</strong> <strong>Service</strong>s, Inc.AccidentsAny Participant who experiences a Work-Training Assignment related accident, mustimmediately report the accident to the Work-Training Site Supervisor and the local ProjectDirector. Even accidents that do not require medical treatment must be reported.The Supervisor will contact <strong>Mature</strong> <strong>Service</strong>s’ Human Resources Manager or his/her assistant at330-762-8666, or 1-800-554-5335, ext. 186 or 139, to report the accident. The Supervisor willthen submit a written account of the accident to the Human Resources Manager using anAccident Investigation Report (found in the Host Agency Packet).
