33 <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Service</strong> <strong>Employment</strong> <strong>Program</strong> (SCSEP) Handbookinclude:a. Refusal to attend mandatory meetings such as quarterly meetings, IEP updates,and other scheduled meetings with agency staff, host agency supervisors, orother training providers;b. Refusal to complete and properly document on the Job Search Log thedesignated number of employer contacts every pay period as described in theparticipant’s IEP;c. Refusal to participate in the IEP process and/or refusal to adhere to the actionplan as outlined in the IEP without good cause;d. Refusal to accept supportive services that will enhance the participant’scommunity service assignment and employability consistent with the IEP withoutgood cause;e. Refusal to accept three job offers or referrals for employment consistent withthe participant’s IEP without good cause or extenuating circumstances and/orsabotaging an interview, for example by stating that he/she will not take the job,telling the interviewer that he/she does not want to find a job, or that he/she isunqualified for employment;f. Refusal to cooperate in establishing eligibility during recertification;g. Intentional falsification of hours on a time sheet, the documentation on the jobsearch log, or other official records;h. Refusal to accept a different Work-Training Assignment without good cause;i. The unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession or use of acontrolled substances while on assignment at any Host Agency or training siteassigned by <strong>Mature</strong> <strong>Service</strong>s or being under the influence of alcohol and ordrugs, while performing the host agency assignment or while carrying outobjectives required by the IEP. Legally prescribed medications are excluded ifthey do not affect the participant’s ability to perform his or her duties or thesafety of the participant or others;j. Violation of state laws affecting workforce safety such as smoking bans in publicbuildings or prohibition on carrying concealed weapons into designated publicfacilities;k. Insubordination – intentional refusal to carry out the direct instruction of asupervisor or <strong>Mature</strong> <strong>Service</strong>s staff provided there were no extenuatingcircumstances;l. Refusal to maintain confidentiality or to comply with the work-training site’spolicies;m. Theft, abuse, damage, or willful disregard for work-training site property,equipment, or supplies; intentionally taking or withholding the property ofanother without permission;n. Intentional disregard of safety practices;o. Being absent more than three times during a 30-day period without notifying theHost Agency supervisor or a pattern of unexcused absences or tardiness withoutgood cause or extenuating circumstances;
