Product PreviewSynchro-Link ® Timing Belt PulleysFor optimum performance, combine Bando Synchro-Link ® Timing Belts and Timing Belt Pulleys.Bando Synchro-Link ® Timing Belt Pulleys are manufactured to exacting tolerances to assure total drive system compatibility. They are available in a complete range of sizes, types, configurations and materials to contribute to the efficiency, economy and performance of your drive.Synchro-Link ® Minimum PlainBore for trapezoidal and HT profileRefer to pages 94 through 98 forsize and list price information.Synchro-Link ® QD ® constructionfor trapezoidal, HT and XP profilesRefer to pages 99 through 108for size and list price information.Synchro-Link ® Taper Lock ® constructionfor trapezoidal profileRefer to pages 109 through 111for size and list price information. The type of pulley used on a Synchro-Link ® drive depends on a number of factors, including but not limited to, spaceavailable, ratios, center distances, horsepower being transmitted, speeds and user preference of mounting systems, i.e.QD ® , Taper Lock ® , or Minimum Plain Bore.An Explanation of Synchro-Link ® Drive PitchesWith Synchro-Link ® Drives, as with gear or chain drives, circular pitch (usually referred to as pitch) is a fundamentalconsideration. On the belt, pitch is the distance between tooth centers and is measured on the pitch line of the belt. Onthe pulley, pitch is the distance between groove centers and is measured on the pulley’s pitch curve. The pitch line of a Synchro-Link ® Drive Belt is located within the tension member. The pitch circle of a Synchro-Link ®Drive Belt pulley coincides with the pitch line of the belt mating with it.Any Synchro-Link ® Drive Belt must be run with pulleys of the same pitch. A belt of one pitch cannot be usedsuccessfully with pulleys of a different pitch.Synchro-Link ® Drive PulleysSynchro-Link ® Drive BeltsL Circular pitch of grooveM Minimum depth of groove, including clearanceN Width of groove at minimum depth, includingclearanceO Pressure angleP Top radius of grooveR Pitch diameter (always > S)S Outside diameterA Pitch of teethB Depth of teethC Width of bottom of teethD Pressure angleE Radius at bottom of teethF Radius at top of teethG Pitch line differentialBelt P.L. = “A” x Total no. of teeth in belt15
