Eligibility: Residing in the Kne‘ohe to Kualoa communities Families must be available for weekly home visits to role-play the HIPPYactivity packets and to discuss any educational or parenting concerns Group meetings for parents and children are held every other week Fee: FreeHead StartThe Head Start Home Base program serves families throughout O‘ahu,emphasizing the parent’s role as the primary teacher and advocate for theirchild. The home visitor meets with the child and family in the comfort of theirown home for 1½ hours each week. The home visitor encourages goodparenting practices, teaches parenting skills, and provides lessons to promoteparent/child interactions and learning with age-appropriate fun activities.
