Services include prenatal and parent/child activities suchas home visits, workshops, and parent/toddler groups. Topics include parentingskills, child development, school readiness, Hawaiian culture, nutriti<strong>on</strong>, andhealth. Participati<strong>on</strong> in <strong>the</strong> program is voluntary. The home visitor works with <strong>the</strong>primary caregiver of <strong>the</strong> child by doing role-play activities that <strong>the</strong> caregiverwill <strong>the</strong>n do with <strong>the</strong> child. HIPPY is a 30-week program and <strong>the</strong> child willremain in <strong>the</strong> program for 3 c<strong>on</strong>secutive years from age 3 – 5.
