Besides meeting theAbdulsalam Al-MatroukSr. Eng. Telecommunicationsneeds of traditional PMR userorganizations, the TETRA standardhas also been developed to meetthe needs of Public Access MobileRadio (PAMR) operators. However,it quickly became apparentthat there was a similar need fora standard covering the needs ofPublic Safety and other users ofprivate systems. Therefore, therequirements were broadened tocover all of these needs.
