Hybrid Course SpecificationsA hybrid course is a blend of face-to-face instruction with online learning. In a hybrid course, asignificant part of the course learning is online and as a result, the amount of classroom seattimeis reduced. If this course is listed as a hybrid course then I have followed this definition byreducing the actual class time by between 1 and 2 hours per week. To "make-up" for this lossof contact time I have integrated numerous exercises into the course content that will help youreinforce and extend the textbook and classroom discussions. You’re responsible for postingyour thoughts on each Hybrid assignment in the discussion board on eLearn. You may begraded on your interactions in the discussion board.Technical and SupportIt is your responsibility to have and maintain the software, equipment and internet connectionsrequired to complete all homework, labs, and exams for this course. All technical issues,REGARDLESS of the circumstances, are not valid reasons for missed assignments, labs,and/or exam deadlines. This means your assignments will be graded on the amount of workcompleted at the time of the “catastrophic” technical issue failure. The only exceptions wouldbe verifiable unplanned errors of the sites that this course requires access to.I do not provide any technical support for accessing either my Class Web Page, eLearn, orChemeketa e-mail. If you have issues logging onto eLearn or with your Chemeketa e-mail callthe help desk at Chemeketa (503) 399-7899.
