Spark Advance EEPROM Software Upgrade allows capturingand displaying real-time ignition timing information with aDYNOmite-Pro board set running under DYNO-MAX 2000.Recorded spark advance information may be plotted onto allDYNO-MAX generated graphs (see sample at right). A clamp-oninductive RPM pick-up must be used with this option to detect thespark plug’s firing event. This option also needs a solidly mountedmagnetic or optical crankshaft RPM pick-up to supply a rigidlyportioned “approaching TDC” reference signal. (Requires aninductive spark plug lead pick-up, crankshaft mounted RPM/TDCsensor, and DYNO-MAX 2000 version 9.31 or later.)Part # 430-453Data Channel Expansion Board Sets increase the number ofchannels that your DYNO-MAX equipped PC can monitor. Eachboard set consists of a “piggyback” pair of boards with multiplefrequency and analog inputs. All models support upgrading toadditional DYNOmite accessories (such as air flow sensors, autothrottle servo, etc.) or doubling your available EGT probe channels.A 115-volt AC power supply is included (or they can be run off ofbattery power). Basic board sets are supported under any version ofDYNO-MAX, while “Pro” (or Lite) board sets require DYNO-MAX2000 9.2 (or later). Your PC (or laptop) will need an available USBor RS-232 serial port (and cable) for each board set.
